Got Questions?
What you need to know before getting started, including how investigations work and what to expect
FAQs
Are investigations confidential?
Yes. All cases are handled with strict confidentiality and discretion.
What services do you offer?
We handle a wide range of investigations including criminal defense, domestic matters (infidelity, custody, cohabitation), workers’ compensation, and financial-related cases.
Do you work with attorneys or private individuals?
We work with both attorneys and private clients, depending on the needs of the case.
How do I start an investigation?
Contact us to discuss your situation. We’ll review the details, answer your questions, and determine the best approach for your case.
How long do cases take?
The duration depends on the type of investigation and the details involved. Some cases can be completed quickly, while others may require extended time to gather sufficient information.
Will the subject know they’re being investigated?
Investigations are conducted discreetly and professionally. While no investigator can guarantee a subject will never become aware of an investigation, our goal is to gather information without drawing attention to the process.
Is surveillance legal?
Yes. Surveillance is conducted in areas where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy and in accordance with applicable state laws.
How does billing work?
We require an upfront fee that is billed against hourly investigative work and case-related expenses. This allows us to begin work immediately and dedicate the necessary time and resources to your case.
What is your hourly rate?
Our investigative rate is $85 per hour, billed for active investigative time such as surveillance, research, interviews, and case work.
Do you require an upfront fee?
Yes. Most investigations require an initial retainer. The amount depends on the scope, complexity, location, and anticipated investigative work involved. During the consultation, we will discuss your objectives and provide a clear estimate of anticipated costs.
What expenses should I expect?
Case-related expenses such as travel, lodging (if applicable), and other necessary costs are deducted from the upfront fee. We only charge for expenses directly related to your case.
Is surveillance billed door-to-door?
No. Surveillance time is billed starting upon arrival in the area of investigation, not from the time we leave our office.
Will I receive a report?
Detailed documentation, photographs, video evidence, and professional reports can be provided when appropriate for the needs of the case.
Can you testify in court?
Yes. We can provide detailed reports and testify in court when needed.
Is court testimony included?
Court appearances are billed separately at $750 per day unless otherwise specified in the engagement agreement. This amount is due in advance.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, or credit cards.
Do you work with my attorney?
Absolutely! We communicate our findings with your attorney of record upon your request.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Investigations are based on real-world activity and available information, so specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. We provide objective, well-documented findings based on the evidence obtained.
How quickly can an investigation begin?
In most cases, investigations can begin within a few days after the consultation, agreement, and initial retainer are completed. Urgent matters may be accommodated based on availability.
