April Tinsley
Founder & Managing Partner | Licensed Private Investigator | Registered Pharmacist
April Tinsley is a licensed private investigator, retired law enforcement officer, and founder and managing partner of Tinsley Investigations. She works with attorneys, businesses, and private clients on criminal defense, civil litigation, domestic matters, workers’ compensation, and other investigative assignments.
Her law enforcement career included service as a Special Agent with the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency and as a sheriff’s deputy and criminal investigator. Her experience spans a broad range of criminal investigations and regulatory matters, including witness interviews, evidence review, and case development. That background informs her approach to assessing information, identifying inconsistencies, and pursuing leads that warrant further investigation.
April is also a registered pharmacist with more than 25 years of pharmacy and healthcare experience. This additional expertise is particularly valuable when an investigation involves medical or pharmacy records, medication-related concerns, or healthcare and regulatory issues.
April approaches each assignment with persistence, careful analysis, and attention to detail. She works to understand what the evidence establishes, what remains uncertain, and where further investigation may provide answers. Her findings are documented clearly to help clients and attorneys evaluate the facts and make informed decisions.
Stephen B. Tinsley

Stephen B. Tinsley brings more than 35 years of local, state, and federal law-enforcement and investigative experience to Tinsley Investigations.
His career includes service as a sheriff’s deputy, narcotics investigator, and Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He spent 21 years with the Drug Enforcement Administration, serving in investigative and leadership positions that included Special Agent, Resident Agent in Charge, and Inspector. Following his DEA retirement, he served as the elected Sheriff of Clinch County.
Stephen’s experience includes complex criminal investigations, witness and suspect interviews, evidence evaluation, interagency investigations, investigative supervision, and courtroom-related case preparation.
Today, he applies that background to independent case review, criminal defense investigations, witness interviews, surveillance, and litigation support. His understanding of how law-enforcement cases are developed helps attorneys examine the government’s evidence, identify investigative gaps, and pursue additional leads.
